Days of Change

Overjoyed | January 3, 2016

Cliven Bundy, who faced down the government almost 2 years ago, has three sons who are doing the same at an Oregon Wildlife Refuge. The buildings were occupied quietly, since everyone was away for the holiday weekend. There are no hostages, and this “federal buildings” mostly serves as an outpost to monitor wildlife and forest fires. We’re talking Yogi Bear territory here.

While this is less disruptive than your average month-long Occupy sit-in, liberals are throwing around terms like terrorist and claiming hypocrisy that conservatives don’t want them shot. I don’t particularly need people killed because a few park rangers can’t get to work tomorrow. If they were holding those people hostage, I might be more inclined to see a few police snipers.

People around the country have been taking matters into their own hands since this administration began. There are new gun owners, Tea Party members and Trump supporters. At the same time, there are still enough people in enough places in this country to elect a Barack Obama for 8 years. His opposition wants to win the White House out of the chaos rather than trying to stop it. I can see why these people are trying to emulate the much lauded Occupy model. Unfortunately, they could end up killed for using it.

  1. Scary, isn’t it? I hate the thought of anyone getting hurt in what should be a peaceful protest, an act of defiance against government.

  2. Good show, as long as none of the animals are hurt
