Days of Change

Have We Forgotten? | September 11, 2015

It’s sad that I have to wonder about America’s memory in the face of the September 11 anniversary. I guess I should be glad Obama didn’t choose to co-opt it with a “day of service” and instead stood in respectful (and welcome) silence. Of course, behind the scenes, the administration is planning Muslim outreach in the form of illegal immigration of hostile Syrian “refugees” from an ISIS apocalypse he helped create.

One of the problems with deference to our enemies is that it puts us in a position of weakness and that puts people in fear. America has a tradition of mercy after it conquers an enemy. If that fight never happens, if that enemy is not tamed, there won’t be any support for “outreach.”

Killing bin Laden was a moral victory. As a practical matter, he wasn’t in charge of anything anymore. His need to be inconstant hiding blunted his usefulness. That was achieved by the Bush administration. The Obama administration acted like we won 9/11 by killing its mastermind. Terrorism is like entropy. It requires eternal vigilance to keep it at bay. You can’t just forget about it.

  1. Looking at the faces of some of the 9/11 Muslim assassins today, I couldn’t help thinking that these are the same ilk as the Muslim “refugees” (yeah, right–remember the Trojan horse?– to be imported for humanitarian purposes.

    • It’s ridiculous. Why would we fly people halfway around the world to a different continent, a different culture and a different language? The only people who would want to do that are more likely terrorists.

      • 1. The Islamization of America is one of obama’s pet projects.
        2. Who would bring them here is the the jihadist-in-chief, the one who said 8 years ago that the USA, whose Muslim population at the time was less than 4%, was one of the best Muslim countries in the world, and other blatant pro-Muslim lies.
