Days of Change

Now, I’m Just Being Lazy | August 10, 2015

I have nothing to write about, so like any professional journalist, I’ll just write more about Trump.

Donald Trump has apparently mended fences with Fox News, going back to a semi-regular appearance on Fox and Friends this week. I’m not sure that he ever appeared on The Kelly File, but I doubt he would need to. Personally, I don’t consider the debate questions to be out of line. They might have been ridiculous, but not worse than any other moderator would ask.

Now if Trump doesn’t want to talk to Kelly, it doesn’t make him scared or a wimp. His presence would raise Megyn Kelly’s ratings and profile. It would do more for her than for him. This was one of the problems in 2008. Sarah Palin was booked on interviews by the McCain staff. They (mostly Nicolle Wallace) made terrible decisions by picking hostile interviewers who held all the cards with respect to editing and content. McCain considered himself somehow in a position to talk to almost any media and the campaign seemed to copy that strategy with Palin.

In 2008, the media was out to elect Obama and destroy his competition. I saw some of the horrible interviews Nicolle Wallace did on hostile media. Sarah Palin was a natural compared to her. Republicans need the autonomy to choose the interviews that help them and avoid the ones that will likely damage them. Even Obama in 2008 started going to tiny blogs and biased media that would kiss his ass rather than the pro-Obama media that might accidentally ask him a tough question.

  1. 1. Megyn Kelly proved herself to be what I’ve always said she is–worthless eye candy.

    2. The “debate” was an anti-Trump witch hunt. Instead of discussing issues, the Gang of Three launched personal attacks.

    3. A commenter at WND today got it right : Kelly was auditioning for the retiring Murdoch’s libtard heirs.

    4. Roger Ailes seems to have offered Trump something akin to an apology.

    5. Megyn Kelly is a jumped up bleached bog bimbo. Ever see her lately flirting with obama’s vile spokesman, Bill Burton, whom she told, in effect, 7 years ago, to sit down and shut up?

    6. Bottom line: Irony wins again. Trump’s lead went uP 7% after the Inquisition/
