Days of Change

American Sniper | January 16, 2015

The story of Chris Kyle is definitely worthy of a movie. He was a sniper, stopping many suicide bombing attempts, one of the favorite tactics of the followers of Islam. He served 4 tours due to the demand for his skills. Kyle eventually left the military to be with his family and to help other veterans. Ironically, after setting up a business and coming home to his family, Chris Kyle was murdered by a veteran he was trying to help.

The movie “American Sniper” is based on a book of the same name that Kyle wrote before his death in 2013. The film was nominated for several Oscars this week. While some in the media have complained about bias of the Academy in not choosing “Selma” for all but the most minor award, the real bias is liberalism and it is truly a testament to the story and the director Clint Eastwood that “American Sniper” was able to get so many votes.

I would not hold out much hope for the movie winning best actor or best film, but the nomination may be a sign that the Hollywood bubble is getting a little too small to be popular or profitable. Oprah only has so many movies left in her and Obama’s expiration date is coming soon. It’s time to look at the future of entertainment. That’s about as black and white as it gets.

  1. A long as the libtards and race hustlers like Sharpton continue making a lot of noise about race trumping everything, and the msm continues giving them acres of free and sympathetic publicity there is no future for the arts.
