Days of Change

For seven years we’ve known about Obama’s hatchet team and their reliance on the staged event. Obama tries to make himself the biggest person in any room, like some kind of human blow fish. He lavishes false praise on his supplicants and his minions wage public records wars on his detractors. He rode a wave of Bush hatred around the world by trashing the former president in as classless a move as any. Now, he is more disliked that Bush is today and is getting to the point of being less popular than Bush ever was.

This is why it makes perfect sense that the White House chose to send virtually no one to the gatherings in France this weekend. Eric Holder went to talk about terrorism as a law enforcement issue (a la John Kerry) and the Ambassador to France was there, as would be the case anyway. When various national leaders were asked to come, most decided on the basis of how they felt about France and freedom in general. Obama probably calculated if it was important enough. He calculated wrong.

This was an impromptu event, indicative of the kind of actual decision-making and leadership of which Obama is virtually bankrupt. His indifference to the problems with Islam or the importance of our allies showed in these actions. Now, the president’s mouthpiece is forced to admit a mistake which is actually not the case. This was a willful decision to not give a shit. The mistake was in not realizing that everyone else did give a shit and his absence made him look like an idiot.

  1. On the other hand, he endeared himself to his Muslim brethren. Like them, he is a sheet head.
