Days of Change

Who’s in Charge? | November 10, 2014

For the next two months, the country is faced with a lame duck Democratic Congress and a lame duck Democratic president. The Senate is gridlocked to the point where almost nothing will happen. The president, however, has not had his own power checked much at all. He passed all his big legislation. He rewrote Obamacare as he saw fit. He created a new war in Iraq with his incompetence. When the Republicans tried to cut the funding out of Obamacare, he waited them out and got everything he wanted. Had the Republicans waited a few weeks longer, the disaster of the Obamacare roll out might have made the difference.

Impeachment is a nice idea, but would require a Senate with more cajones than the one that gave up on a budget fight. The power of money is what Democrats are really afraid of. They can’t handle governance, as Obama has proven over and over. If you don’t like the president’s executive orders on amnesty, then cut the budget for Air Force One and the White House chef. Make Michelle travel to New York in Trailways One eating a can of Hormel beans. It is abundantly clear that’s what America wants.
