Days of Change

Fathers | June 15, 2014

I was going to write about Fathers’ Day, but I think I expressed my thoughts adequately 3 years ago.

I think about what my father did for me in my life, how he made me who I am today. I can’t imagine not having that. Then there are the fathers who go it alone. They sometimes have the worse situation. Single parents have it tough, but there is a belief that men are somehow biologically unable to nurture children.

Along with our own fathers, we should think about the importance of fatherhood in general. Sometimes we ignore it. Let’s not confine appreciation to one day of the year.
