Day 402 – Throw a Tomato at Rachel Maddow | December 11, 2009

The liberal choice for the next host of Meet the Press, Rachel Maddow, was on Jimmy Fallon’s mediocre talk show when she talked about the story of the tomato thrower at a Sarah Palin book signing. Because of crazies like that guy, there is a certain amount of restriction for participants. They need to buy at least one book and stand in line for hours, things liberals are generally bad at. At her signing on the first floor of the Mall of America, the attacker took aim on a second-floor balcony.

Keeping with the theme that criticism of liberals is hate speech and violence toward conservatives is discourse, Maddow was sympathetic to the thrower. It seems that he missed Palin completely, but hit a police officer instead. She even suggested that he consider a pie next time because it’s larger and has more chance of hitting Palin.

I’m committing a breach in protocol if I talk about Maddow’s obsession with gay issues because as a conservative, I would be committing hate speech. But it would, of course, be hypocritical of liberals to criticize me since she said she slept with Tiger Woods. Obviously a false statement, since Tiger hasn’t gone hysterically blind.

But I would like to do my part for alleviating the greatest sin of liberalism, hypocrisy, by suggesting everyone throw a tomato at Maddow. Since it’s valid political discourse now, go ahead and state your opinions in a way that won’t be scrubbed by MSNBC chat filters. In fact, Rachel Maddow thinks a pie would be an even greater tool of dissent. I’m sure she’s a woman who likes some pie in her face.

Yep, I couldn’t resist.

    Guffawing out loud.

Interesting that you mentioned the session of their gay issue because I’m thinking that her hatred of Palin is really what the shrinks call a reaction formation, “the blocking of desire by its opposite.”

  2. EDIT: “session of their gay issue”
Sorry, P4, I have no idea what I said to my dictation program to make it come out thus.
