Walter Cronkite is an accurate role model for the media. Power, bias and ego all rolled together. He was what many in the media wish they could be. They would love the ability to be trusted and believed while they deliver opinion as fact. Cronkite was subtle in his bias, while followers like Dan Rather went crazy with his ideological blood lust.
Too much of the media are either plastic dolls reading a prompter (like a certain president?) or partisans trying to force feed the facts. Instead of condensed, we get prioritized news. So people seek out unfiltered sources. I just hope enough people are.
