Uppity Woman (listed on my blogroll) is reducing her blog output to pay for the coming massive taxes that are to come. I don’t have that option right now and I wish her success. I went to her site in September as the PUMAsphere was excited about the selection of Sarah Palin for the McCain ticket. Better yet, it confounded the jackass I now refer to as Jackass.
That was the point when the media was not only anti-Hillary it was anti-woman or probama or whatever bias you want to identify. Ironically, this is also the day Helen Thomas finally realized that this administration not only has no use for the media, it is not afraid of the media in any way. Faux bloggers masquerading as news portals and sycophantic cable news outlets are the only cheerleaders they need.
Dissent doesn’t exist because you hate the guy in office. Dissent isn’t obsolete just because the guy you like is in office. Dissent is what keeps a society searching for answers. Iran crushes dissent. Honduras very nearly had a president who planned to ignore it. Dissent may not be patriotic, but it is democratic.
This president has been a megalomaniac from long before. He wants to pass laws fast and hard. Any answer is the right answer. People need the government to tell them how to live their lives because he believes they can’t think for themselves. The definition of consent of the governed seems to be the 52% of the voters who picked him.
